Product update October

In October we've made it easier to find the correct model during inventory, improved availability dates on listings, and connected two customers in a reuse cluster.

Quick filters in the model library

We often hear from users that it becomes harder to find the right models the further they get in their reuse work, as the number of models in a given category steadily grows.

To make it easier to find what you’re looking for, it’s now possible to filter model searches even at the specification level. Instead of scrolling through a hundred different chair models, you can now type, for example, “black textile metal” and quickly narrow down the selection of models to choose from.

More functional availability dates

In Palats, users have long had the option to limit the availability of a listing to a specific period. For example, if an article is listed in connection with an office relocation, it’s usually best to limit the pickup dates to that period.

We’ve revamped this functionality and made availability dates more useful throughout the entire ordering process. You can now filter the marketplace by availability date, and see availability dates both in the checkout and in the order confirmation.

Managing orders on listings with limited availability is now also easier. When scheduling a delivery, a simple overview of any available dates is shown, and availability dates are also visible in the order list.

More columns in the analytics tool

We want to make it possible to extract as much data and insight as possible from Palats, and we’re constantly seeing a need for more columns and filters. We’ve now made another major update to the “Input Data” tab in reports, where you can now add columns for all checkout fields and order information. This data can then be exported to CSV or Excel format for further analysis.

Connect Marketplaces: Clusters!

During October, we launched the first shared marketplace in Palats. The City of Gothenburg and the Gothenburg Region have established a collaboration where the listings on their internal marketplaces are now also available for booking by the other party.

Using Palats’ smart exposure rules, articles that remain unbooked internally within the City of Gothenburg after one month can then be booked by employees in the Gothenburg Region. For the person booking, there’s no difference from booking internal listings — all booked articles go through the same order confirmation and handling process. Convenient, right?

We see great potential in connecting internal marketplaces with partners in a local cluster, increasing savings for both parties — both financially and environmentally.
