Product update November
More settings, filter your locations, improved order picking, and easier to find your way on the marketplace. These are the big changes in Palats in the month of November.
New settings, new location list, and selectable categories
Over the past month, we’ve made a number of small improvements to make Palats easier to navigate. An important part of this work is ensuring that filtering and searching works the same way across all types of objects—whether they are locations, members, or orders.
You can now filter locations—by city, among other things—and create views of them, as well as choose to display them as a list instead of a grid. Members can also be filtered by several attributes, such as which roles they belong to.
When you apply a filter to a list, you can now switch the filter to be exclusive, i.e., change “is one of” to “is not one of.”
The member list and organization-level settings have moved into a new full-screen view we call Settings. This is also where you make changes to your own account.
A new feature in Settings is the ability to edit your organization’s selection of categories. Palats supports hundreds of different categories of articles, and often not all are needed. By hiding categories you don’t use, it becomes easier to find what you’re looking for during inventories.
Swap articles between orders
When picking items for an order, it has long been possible to replace an article by scanning another article from the same listing, as long as the scanned article isn’t booked by someone else. It is now also possible to replace the article even if the scanned article is booked. In that case, the articles simply switch places between the orders.
Easier navigation in the marketplace
We’ve also worked on making it easier to find what you’re looking for in the marketplace. Your alerts have been moved under the account button in the menu, and all orders are now found under “Orders”, regardless of whether they are things you’ve bought or things you’ve sold.
For personal listings managed in the marketplace, navigation is now much simpler. The list of your own listings is clearer, and when you visit one of your own listings, you are given two clear actions—edit or delete the listing.
By making it easier to manage listings and orders in the marketplace, we help ensure that the listings shown there are up to date and that orders are completed when they’re processed. This is a key part of our mission to make reuse just as attractive as buying new!
