New order management and customizable climate reporting are the two big news of the month.
This spring, we’ve done extensive work by visiting several customers who have taught us more about working with large-scale reuse and the logistics required to maintain a high inventory turnover. With these insights, we’ve rebuilt the order management system in Palats from the ground up.
Palats hosts the industry’s largest database of default values for new prices and CO₂e, but some categories still lack climate data. You can now complement our default values with your own model-specific price and climate impact data, either during inventory or directly in the model library. The library also gives a quick overview of which models are missing data and what sources have been used.
For those with a cataloged inventory and model-specific EPDs, this enables more accurate savings reports.
Accidentally registered a move as a reuse event? Logged a reuse twice for the same article? Mistakes happen when dealing with large volumes. You can now retroactively edit how specific events are reported, allowing you to clean up your statistics directly in Palats. Even archived articles can now be edited if, for example, the weight or category was incorrectly registered.
Combined with the ability to log climate impact and corresponding new prices, you now have full control over the figures reported in your analysis — whether you're measuring financial savings, waste, or climate benefits.
A small group of users is currently testing the ability to create custom categories that differ from Palats’ standard ones. If you think this might be relevant to you, contact Charlotte to join as a test pilot.
