During June, we launched several improvements across many parts of the product. The QR scanner, moves, inventory, and checkout payment are some of the areas affected.
The QR scanner screen in the mobile app is now clearly separated into a manage mode and a pickup mode. "Manage" mode is available to administrators for updating information on articles, while "pickup" mode is for everyone with access to the marketplace.
This means that users who only have access to the marketplace can now make use of our simple QR scanner to pick up orders, just as administrators have long done.
When self-collecting articles, you no longer need to pick up the exact article you previously reserved. The system automatically swaps the article if you scan another equivalent one that is more easily accessible in the warehouse.
You don't always know exactly where in a location an article should be placed, especially when ordering at checkout. And in some cases, you don't even need to know exactly where in a location the articles are.
In our new location picker, you can now choose what level of precision you want to use, both at checkout and when moving articles. If you don't want to or can't choose exactly which floor an article should go to, you can select "anywhere in the location." If you know the floor but not exactly which room, you can also select "anywhere on the floor."
If you take photos of any labels during inventory, these photos are now used by our AI assistant Palats Genie to fill in specifications for you.
When taking inventory of furniture and machines, there is often a label with information about the manufacturer and the manufacturer's model name. When taking inventory of doors, labels often contain information about fire and sound ratings. This information is automatically retrieved from the label.
For those of you who combine your Palats marketplace with an open store. It's now much easier to ensure that the register at checkout matches your Palats data.
During a physical sale, you simply scan the articles the customer is buying with the QR scanner in the Palats app and create an order. This is sent with one tap to a payment terminal where the actual payment takes place. Upon confirmed payment, the order is completed and the articles are archived. Smart, right?
The payment terminal integration is an add-on to your Palats subscription. Contact us for more information!
