Product update July

The summer brings multiple minor improvements to the product.

Many larger projects are waiting just around the corner for the fall, and during the vacation period we’ve instead taken the opportunity to tackle several small improvements requested by users.

  • Improved search for models during inventory. Search can now also match against things like color or material. For example, you can choose the category “Chairs” and then search for “Blue” if you are inventorying a blue chair, to quickly find the correct model.
  • Article condition in lists also in the mobile app. All lists containing articles now also display the article’s condition in the mobile app, which makes it easier when, for example, you are looking for a specific article where there are multiple articles of the same model.
  • Mark an opened order as unread. If you’ve peeked at an order that you want to handle later, you can now go back and mark the order as unread afterward.
  • Easier to add “Next step” and “Destination” to many articles. “Edit multiple” now works the same way for these specifications as it has long worked for “Other tags.” This means that existing tags are not overwritten when you add a new tag.
  • Read-only reports. It is now possible to control permissions for reports so that only administrators or users with a specific role can edit a report.
  • Support for WebP format when uploading images. The WebP format is becoming increasingly common—especially when saving images from the internet. Now you no longer need to convert the image before uploading it to Palats!
